May 28th, 2005 Thanks to Dustin, you can now view a performance of the song I'm currently most obsessed with: Kate Bush's "Wuthering Heights," from the Top of the Pops in 1978. So f-ing incredible for so many reasons, mainly: her facial expressions, her vocal range, and the random confused looking kids standing near the piano when the songs ends. If you're a Tori Amos fan, download this now please. Then think: 1978. I usually don't report random celebrity sigtings, but I saw Chris Noth (a.k.a. Sex and the City's "Mr.Big" a.k.a. NYC's most famous resident drunk, scraggly, pedestrian sighting) today by the Flatiron Building around 5:30 p.m. after I got off the Q train back from Coney Island. He looked surprisingly un-haggard, in his sweaty workout clothes with expensive personal trainer following close behind. I was talking to The Most Obnoxious Giant Fan on the Planet on my celly when I noticed a rather attractive man grinning at me--yeah, some people aren't too cool to nod, ED HELMS-- and quickly ditched the conversation. He kept walking; I called my roommate Allie who'd fallen two blocks behind my rabbit pace and gave her his coordinants so she could have her own brush with the Y-chromosome of Carrie Bradshaw's obsession. Allie says he has an 'aura' about him--I think it was just the sweat. I have to go call my grandmother now. "Which Burn Victim Do You Most Want Tori Amos to Resurrect From The Dead" poll over. "Siren" wins by a dash of vanilla:
Horse races, Rilo Kiley, Yankees/Red Sox, Coney Island, and it's only Saturday! I've got two more days of weekend, and then I leave for London Wednesday! Son of a monkey's uncle. |
